Wall Street (1987) - 1980s, Wall Street. Bud Fox, a young broker, is obsessed with the financial markets and is ready for the craziest moves to build his successful professional path. With his persistence, Fox achieves that Gordon Gekko, one of the biggest figures in the financial world, becomes his mentor and discovers this world in its most interesting aspects. But soon drawn into insider trading, Fox is faced with choices of loyalty, morality and well-being.

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (2010) - You can often hear the name Wall Street 2 as a logical sequel to the movie filmed  in 1987. The events take place on the eve of the 2007-2009 crisis. In 2001, Gordon Gekko is mede free after serving time for insider trading and fraud. Coming out of a long imprisonment, he tries to find himself in a new reality, in the world that he once ruled. By 2008, Gekko is busy promoting a book he has written, warning of an impending economic downturn. As if hoping to restore his relationship with his daughter, Gekko begins to communicate with his daughter's boyfriend, Jake, who is also an enthusiast of the financial world, an idealistic broker. In the movie, Jake had no idea he was up against an ancient manipulator who would stop at nothing to achieve his goals.

Margin Call (2011) - The movie tells about what happens when an entire company, not an individual, goes into highly risky transactions. A margin call is a situation when part of the transactions are concluded on the account of borrowed funds, and a sharp change in prices causes the account to approach or decrease from the threshold of own funds. In this case, the financial intermediary may demand replenishment of the account or it may lead to the forced closing of the accounts.

The story begins with a young financial analyst discovering a threat that could lead to the collapse of an investment bank. Over the next 24 hours, the company's leaders face a terrifying choice: prioritize personal survival or stand by their principles. This decision-making process reveals the moral challenges of operating in the financial world, the complexities faced by the leaders of large financial institutions, and the responsibility of the decisions made.

The Big Short (2015) - A comedy-biographical drama based on true facts, the events are structured around the 2008 global financial crisis. This movie tells the fascinating story of several financial analysts and investors who spotted and predicted the collapse of the US housing market and made profitable deals anticipating the upcoming market downturn.

Director Adam McKay masterfully explains complex economic processes in an accessible and entertaining way. The movie ensures that even those unfamiliar with finance can grasp the gravity of the situation. This mixture of education and entertainment is one of the features of the movie. It delves into the technicalities of the financial crisis. The Big Short is almost always among the must-see movies for those interested in the financial world.

Arbitrage (2012) - The big financial world and the personal and professional life of the main character Robert Miller are intertwined in the movie. This is a movie about the moral dilemmas and ethical compromises that often confront the pursuit of wealth and power. Miller's life seems enviable: a successful business, a beloved family, however, under the veil of success is hidden a professional financial swindler, whose actions endanger even the future and freedom of family members. The movie raises important questions about the ethical responsibilities of business leaders and the impact of their decisions on society.

"Arbitrage" is more than just a financial thriller. It is a cautionary tale about the dangers of unchecked ambition and the moral compromises that often accompany the pursuit of wealth. The movie is a story about the ethical challenges and loss of life associated with professional life in the big world of finance. For investors and professionals alike, "Arbitrage" serves as a compelling reminder of the importance of integrity and the potential consequences of ethical lapses.

Dumb Money (2023) - They say money rules the world, and the big money is on Wall Street and if they decided up there that a video game store should go bankrupt, then so be it. But one day, ordinary people - bloggers, housewives, small investors, just video game lovers - came together and through social platforms overcame this “WalI Street” wall and showed that it is possible to wage a full-fledged battle against business giants. The movie is based on true facts, a story about one of the most discussed financial events of our time.

Perhaps you have already chosen which movie to watch first. Well, the movie is incomplete without popcorn. To save you time, we recommend you buy the popcorn to cook in the microwave oven, leave it for 1 minute and voila, it's ready.
