Euro 5,000 for Restoration of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris

Taking into account the importance of the world cultural values, bilateral relations between Armenia and France and friendship between the two nations, Evocabank has made a decision to donate to help with restoration of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.

As it became known to all of us, a massive fire broke out in the evening of April 15 at the Cathedral. The fire has caused a huge damage to the cathedral destroying its spiree and clock.

As states in this regard Tatevik Khachatryan, Head of Evocabank's Marketing and PR Division, "Irrespective of nationality, Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris represents a historically and culturally outstanding universal heritage and each should donate to help rebuild the Cathedral".

The construction of Notre Dame Cathedral started in 1163 under the instruction of Bishop of Paris Mauris de Sully and lasted about 200 years. Since 1991 the Cathedral has become part of UNESCO's World Heritage Inscription.

To remind our readers, a requiem mass for Armenian genocide victims was supposed to be held in the Cathedral on April 22.
